These days, we tell our stories online, in perfectly styled, carefully curated shots of our amazing lives. This International Women’s Day, we asked women to take a selfie with real life.
We recognize the power of social media, not just as an escapist distraction, but as a gift: a platform for women everywhere to talk about what we’re going through.
That’s why we took a social phenomenon—pop-up experiential “museums”—and transformed ours into an opportunity for people to post about a reality that affects them every day. It’s an interactive art exhibit where we aim to rack up awareness over likes. A place to paint a picture of present day sexism rather than plot our next profile photos. Mostly, it’s a collective statement about where our heads are really at, even as we post our pretty pics.
